Go to the capital of Argentina for a gap year abroad! After a month of Spanish lessons, you have the choice between different volunteering projects with the local community. You will grow out of the many exchanges with the local community, and from this immersive experience within an international team. Contribute to community development and benefit from personal development by acquiring many soft skills.
Doing a gap year abroad on this project allows you to observe the way of life of the locals in addition to strengthening your Spanish. Within this community made up of a bakery, a textile center, a training center for adults and tutoring for children. Every day, the canteen of this center serves breakfasts, lunches and coffee breaks to all members of the community and to the children.

Participants first attend daily Spanish lessons for 4 weeks in Buenos Aires. This allows them to strengthen their language skills in order to live the most enriching experience in immersion with the locals.
Volunteers live together and help prepare meals with local volunteers. There is always work for everyone, with or without experience since the tasks also extend to service and cleaning. This project is an excellent way to discover the culinary specialties of Argentina but also to meet a large number of locals with the daily visit of the members of the center… A 100% human experience!

We ask about 15 to 20 hours per week with local and international volunteers depending on the project. Volunteers are expected to have a real commitment and adaptability on all volunteer assignments to create a positive experience for both you and other volunteers.

– Flexible schedule according to needs: morning or afternoon

Hostel accommodation for travelers from all over the world, with clean and comfortable private and shared rooms, food and laundry services and free WIFI. All accommodation packages include a private bathroom, air conditioning and a safe for personal belongings and valuables. Breakfast is included for volunteers.
Buenos Aires Arrival Pack
Arrive on Friday to take advantage of the welcome pack and the mission begins on Monday. Included in the 2-day arrival pack: airport transfer (you will receive a voucher to present upon arrival), welcome drink, guided city tour by bike, guided tour of a neighborhood in Buenos Aires (Recoleta or Palermo), Free WIFI, 2 nights in an international youth hostel.
Welcome and orientation sessions
Before starting their assignment, all volunteers participate in an orientation meeting during which the project manager explains both the general rules of work in Argentina and the specific details of the program chosen. A coordinator will accompany you on your volunteering project in Buenos Aires where you will organize your schedule with the supervisor. Once there, you will follow a presentation on the association and the organisation of work.
Optional activities
Intensive Spanish courses: in order to acclimatise to the Spanish accent and the vocabulary of Buenos Aires, we advise all volunteers to take a minimum of two weeks of Spanish courses before starting their volunteering project. It is possible to add additional weeks of Spanish lessons before the volunteer stay.
Cultural activities: Tango lessons, cooking classes, football match, outings and city tours.
