Construction internship in Nepal: Hippolyte’s feedback

WHAT WERE THE TASKS ASSIGNED ON SITE?

On site, I had the opportunity to work on the design of two buildings: a computer lab and a community center. In addition to the design part, I also supervised construction work on a site within a monastery. This internship allowed me to see firsthand the impact of construction on local communities and to actively participate in useful and sustainable projects.

WHAT THIS INTERNSHIP BROUGHT ME:

This internship brought me a lot, both professionally and personally. I was able to improve my English skills by interacting daily with the local team and other volunteers. On the technical side, I discovered new construction methods adapted to the resources and constraints of a developing country. This experience helped me better understand the challenges of the sector and gain adaptability when faced with working conditions different from those I was used to.

DO I RECOMMEND THIS PROJECT?

I fully recommend this project! The local organization is top-notch, everything is well managed, and the host house offers a warm environment where you quickly feel integrated. Beyond the professional experience, Nepal is a beautiful country, perfect for nature lovers and those who enjoy wide open spaces.
