PRIVACY POLICY AND MANAGEMENT OF PERSONAL DATA

Real-step undertakes to respect the laws on the protection of personal data. This document presents our procedures aimed at respecting consumer rights. We keep all personal data secure and strictly confidential.

Our terms of use and storage of personal data have been updated in March 2018 to reflect the new legal obligations of the GDPR, the new data protection law, in force from May 25, 2018. The GDPR affects European and non-European companies that use online measurement and advertising solutions when people access their sites and applications in the European Economic Area.

Personal data collected

We define personal data by the information you provide to us on the contact, quote and order forms, namely:

  • Last name First Name
  • Address
  • Date of Birth
  • E-mail address
  • Passport information
  • Phone number
  • Emergency number
  • Diet
  • Medical conditions
  • Criminal record

We do not store payment methods through the site.

Where and how are your personal data stored?

Real-step domain, CMS and all customer data is hosted in Ireland. Only 4 Real-step employees have access to customer data from the site.

Once the forms have been submitted, all the data entered is automatically stored in the Real-step CMS, the site’s operating system (back-end). All data is subject to an encryption system to ensure maximum protection of customer data.

Other platforms on which customer data is stored by Real-step:

  • Streak (CRM) and Real-step Gmail Account
  • Real-step Mailchimp Account
  • Dropbox Real-step account and Google Drive (in PDF and Excel format)

All these media are protected by an authorized access system, and reserved exclusively for Real-step employees.

Use of your personal data

By using our services and contacting us via the Real-step site, you consent to the storage of your information in our databases. When contacting the Real-step team, you will be required to provide us with personal information. This information will be stored securely and used for the sole purpose of providing you with the following information:

– confirmation of your reservations

– answer to your questions

– newsletters and updates on our news (products and services)

We will contact you by email or by phone if the number is provided.

Real-step may communicate your information to our local organizations in order to administer the services sold. Customer data will only be transferred to local partners when the service has been reserved or confirmed by the customer.

Under no circumstances will the personal data of our customers be communicated to a third party on our own initiative, and without their consent.

We do not sell our databases.

Processing your case

Before departure: correspondence by email from Real-step and local organizations to prepare your project and facilitate your registration for the program.

During the stay: follow-up, assistance and answer to questions by email

Newsletters

Upon return: request for feedback, newsletter from projects and the local organization, newsletter from Real-step on new offers. Participants can unsubscribe from newsletters at any time if they no longer wish to receive correspondence from Real-step or its host organization.

Statistics

We use tracking and authentication systems to produce usage statistics (Analytics). This data does not contain personally identifiable information. Real-step reserves the right to entrust its tracking systems and databases to external companies for statistical analysis, in which case maximum security and integrity will be applied to ensure data confidentiality.

Security and control of your personal data

We are committed to maintaining a level of security and maximum integrity to ensure the confidentiality of your personal data. Any unauthorized access to our databases which could cause harm will be the subject of a communication to the individuals concerned and an alert to the competent data protection bodies within 72 hours (in our case, this is ICO, British body equivalent to the CNIL in France).

Among the new rights to be respected by companies, there is for any citizen who requests it the right of access to information concerning him, the right to rectification and the right to erasure. Partner websites

We ensure that each partner site is secure and certified; however, we will not be held responsible for any information and personal data communicated on partner sites during online reservations. We invite participants to consult and validate the confidentiality charter of each partner site before making any online reservation.

We will not be held responsible for any personal data communicated on public forums or various blogs.
