Doing a medical internships abroad is a great way to make an impact globally. During my mission, I had the opportunity to perform various nursing care tasks, which allowed me to apply my skills in a new and enriching environment. In particular, I was able to administer medication orally, intravenously (IV), and subcutaneously (SC), prepare infusions and treatments, change dressings, take patients’ vital signs, and perform blood draws. These technical skills, which I was already familiar with, took on a different meaning here, in a context where resources are sometimes limited and where the human element is at the heart of every treatment.
On a personal level, I discovered a very different approach to care, deeply connected to the local culture. The community welcomed us with open arms, and this immersion allowed me to experience sometimes complex, always very enriching human situations. I came out stronger, with my values even more deeply rooted.
On a professional level, I learned new care techniques, sometimes very different from those practiced in France. The relational approach with patients and their families particularly touched me: here, the family plays a central role in care, much more than we see at home.

Make an impact in animal welfare. Join  veterinary internships abroad if a vet student, or other types of working with animals internships where you don't necesarily need to be a veterinaty student (but you rather come from other fields), such as interning in an animal shelter, wildlife conservation, or marine wildlife conservation.
During my internship, my responsibilities included feeding the animals, participating in their training, cleaning the enclosures, conducting enrichment activities to stimulate them, and assisting the veterinarians.
This internship allowed me to meet people from diverse backgrounds, become more independent, and improve my English. I also experienced many positive emotions, especially through my interactions with the animals and the staff there.
Intern in marine conservation, or join one of broader conservation programs to protect natural resources such as wildlife, ecosystems, and the environment overall.
As an internal intern, I worked on a personal project which involved studying the impact of wastewater on terrestrial and marine ecosystems, as well as on human health around Krabi. At the same time, I was able to participate in all the NGO activities: compost management, reforestation, coral study, and animal protection.
This internship brought me a lot, both professionally and personally. I had the opportunity to lead an important project independently, which allowed me to develop my skills and contribute to the creation of new initiatives within the organization. This experience also allowed me to learn a great deal by sharing knowledge with the team.
On a personal level, traveling alone and stepping out of my comfort zone helped me grow. I met wonderful people and improved my English. The healthy environment and activities like yoga, climbing, and kayaking helped me better understand myself, to discover my limits and surpass them. This internship was an incredibly enriching experience, both mentally and physically.

In general, international civil engineering internships can help students become more competitive on the global job market, gain insight into their future work, and connect with other professionals.
During my internship, I worked with a few people. They were all artistic and driven by a shared philosophy: creating beautiful things while respecting the local environment, using sustainable materials like bamboo or waste collected in the preceding days. I worked with this team for three months and remained the same from beginning to end, composed of people of all ages. I was able to build a genuine connection with them; they were incredibly welcoming. - Adil.Â
This internship brought me a lot, both professionally and personally. I was able to improve my English skills by interacting daily with the local team and other volunteers. On the technical side, I discovered new construction methods adapted to the resources and constraints of a developing country. This experience helped me better understand the challenges of the sector and gain adaptability when faced with working conditions different from those I was used to.
