Project information

Your accommodation

Housing is allocated by local NGOs, not by Freepackers - the descriptions are there to give you an idea of the type of accommodation, as it is very likely that conditions will vary on site depending on the number of volunteers, weather conditions, availability, etc. Each volunteer will be accommodated according to the stated conditions, but it is possible that the accommodation may not match the description or images shown on this site word for word, for example, in the case of annexed housing, renovations, relocations, etc.

You will be accommodated in a hostel, apartment, or hotel in Vallvidrera with other project volunteers.

The hostel is located 50–55 minutes from the project by public transport. The commute is easy.

Mixed-gender rooms are shared, with 3 to 5 bunk beds.

Washing machines are available with credit for one use per week.

Meals

All meals are included (breakfast, lunch, and dinner). The meals are mainly vegetarian, with occasional meat options. In case of any food allergies or intolerances, please let us know.

A kitchen is available and ingredients are provided, so volunteers cook together.

Once there

You will be supervised by an on-site coordinator who will give you advice on the best places to visit in the city.

Barcelona is the second most populated city in Spain and is renowned for its high quality of life. Known for its Mediterranean tapas, historic streets, and beaches, you’ll have plenty of beautiful places to explore.
