Housing is allocated by local NGOs, not by Freepackers - the descriptions are there to give you an idea of the type of accommodation, as it is very likely that conditions will vary on site depending on the number of volunteers, weather conditions, availability, etc. Each volunteer will be accommodated according to the stated conditions, but it is possible that the accommodation may not match the description or images shown on this site word for word, for example, in the case of annexed housing, renovations, relocations, etc.
You will be accommodated in a youth hostel located in the city center of Córdoba. Accommodation is in shared rooms (maximum 3 people per room) with access to a rooftop with a barbecue and a fully equipped kitchen where volunteers can prepare their own meals. The hostel also offers internet access and a bar.
Optional: volunteers can stay with a local host family. Expect to pay around 50 euros extra per week for homestay accommodation.
Meals are not included in the program, but a kitchen is available for volunteers.
Interns have the option to choose between a shared room (maximum 3 people per room) in a student residence or placement in a half-board homestay for an immersive stay.
You should budget around 500 euros for personal expenses to be paid on-site for 5 weeks in Córdoba:
- Local transportation (if necessary): 2-3 euros per day (round trip).
- Meals: approximately 10 euros per day.
