Tasks like observation, recording data and data analysis will be an essential part of this project, as it is a practical experience. Program description

You will have the opportunity to follow the nurses, doctors, and therapists in their daily routine. Depending on your choice and staff availability, your tasks may include preparing treatments, measuring blood pressure, and observing care procedures.

The hospital has a radiology room, a pediatrics department, as well as an operating theater accessible to students.

It is important to keep in mind that the staff’s level of English differs from that of an English-speaking country, but you will always be supported by an English-speaking coordinator from the local team.

Like all of our nursing and medical internship programs abroad, this project in Vietnam allows you to validate your year while gaining hands-on experience, and at the same time contributing to the United Nations’ goal of access to healthcare for all.

Rehabilitation Centers

You may also join one of the two rehabilitation centers in the city of Da Nang if you are a physiotherapy student.

  • Rehabilitation Center of the School for the Disabled
  • Rehabilitation Center of the Social Support Center

These two centers are currently implementing treatment programs for 10 to 30 disabled patients, including people with congenital cerebral palsy, stroke, accident-related disabilities, or disabilities of unknown causes.

Volunteers will work alongside qualified local physiotherapists at the center. You will always be supervised by the local staff.

You can work in either of the centers between 18 and 20 hours per week. You will spend about 5 hours on education and social work activities.

The centers can host up to 6 volunteers each month.
