Ideal for a gap year in the United Kingdom, an internship guarantees immersion in professional life within an English-speaking environment. This sponsorship program is designed for students who have already secured an internship in the UK, enabling them to obtain their internship visa. 

What does sponsorship for obtaining the internship visa involve?

  • This service is for students currently enrolled in a program or graduates within the last two years.
  • We provide a Certificate of Sponsorship (CoS) required to apply for your Temporary Work GAE visa for an internship of 1 to 12 months in the UK.
  • Step-by-step support for the visa application and biometric appointment.
  • Assessment of your internship offer to ensure it complies with UK visa requirements.
  • Verification of your potential UK employer to ensure they adhere to British regulations.
  • Assistance with key aspects, such as finding accommodation in the UK or obtaining travel insurance.
  • Monthly follow-ups with the London team to ensure your training goes as planned.

Internship types

Internships can be paid or voluntary, lasting from 1 to 12 months. We can sponsor you if you are applying from your home country or if you are an international student holding a student visa.

Your accommodation

Housing is allocated by local NGOs, not by Freepackers - the descriptions are there to give you an idea of the type of accommodation, as it is very likely that conditions will vary on site depending on the number of volunteers, weather conditions, availability, etc. Each volunteer will be accommodated according to the stated conditions, but it is possible that the accommodation may not match the description or images shown on this site word for word, for example, in the case of annexed housing, renovations, relocations, etc.

Although housing is not included, we can help you navigate the process and find accommodation.

Travel insurance​
